The Underground is one of
Reno's largest music venues and cannot be classified easily. Shows
here range from all-ages top 40 parties, national, regional and
local artist concerts, post-Burning Man parties where anything could
happen and private events. The bar is open for those 21+. The music
style varies wildly depending on the night, with shows ranging from
hardcore to world beat, just about any other genre you can think of
or just a big party with DJs. The space has a nice, converted urban
feel with brick walls and more space than any most other venues'
stages.
The Tree House Lounge's walls
are covered in art, a stage (complete with stripper poles), and it
hosts just about any type of event. The Tree House is located behind
The Underground with an entrance at the rear of the building. The
name draws partly from the architecture. Those who visited the room
before the changes should be familiar with its jungle-gym feel. The
Tree House is a 21-and-over place. Despite the proximity, the two
venues keep separate counsel and host separate events with unique
vibes.
